Critical Information - Read Before Registering
Beginning Spring 2012, all open enrollment will end the Saturday before the class begins, even if the class shows open. To enroll after this date, you must attend the class and request a permission number from the instructor. For online courses, email the instructor for a permission number.
Tuition and fees MUST be paid by the deadline listed in your Student Self Service or classes will be dropped.
Before you register for classes
- Log into PeopleSoft to ensure your access and registration appointment (be sure to use CAPITAL letters when you log-on)
- Review Schedule of Classes and your education plan to determine courses you plan to enroll in
- View any holds by clicking on the details link and view the reason for your hold
- All NEW Students: Assessment AND Orientation is MANDATORY before you can register for Spring classes
Enrollment issues arise if:
Repeat a Course - You must complete the "Course Repetition Request" form available on the Admissions & Records website and submit it in person to either campus Admissions & Records Office in order to repeat a course you have already taken. W's count for repeats.
The class is full (closed) - You can check "Wait List" to place yourself on the course Wait List if one is available. You will not be registered, only waiting for a seat. As a seat becomes available, students will automatically be enrolled. You will not be notified if you are auto-enrolled in a course. Check your Student Self Service daily. If a seat does not become available, remain on the Wait List and attend the first class meeting. Faculty will issue permission numbers to students based upon Wait List position and availability.
"Instructor Consent Required" - Even though course may appear to be open (indicated by green dot
enrollment requires instructor's approval. Do not contact department or instructor. Sign up for Wait List, if available, attend the first class meeting and faculty will issue permission number based upon Wait List position.
To Swap Classes - You have decided to switch from one class you are enrolled in to another. "Swap" allows you to trade one class for another in one step, so that you do not lose a seat in one before you secure another. You cannot 'Swap' a class once the term begins.
