The 2010 LBCC Alumni Association Hall of Fame induction luncheon was held on Friday, October 28. This year's
honorees included John Barnes, Los Alamitos High School football coach & the winningest coach in Orange
County history; Joanne Davis, co-principal The Davis Group, and President, Long Beach Chamber of Commerce
Board of Directors; Frank Gaspar, LBCC Professor Emeritus and professional writer/poet; and Mark Guadagnini,
Rear Admiral United States Navy.
About 145 people attended the luncheon where special videos, created by the LBCC Academic Computing &
Multimedia Services Department, showed the honorees professional and community accomplishments. LBCC
Superintendent-President, Eloy Oakley, presented each of the honorees with a plaque and Board of Trustees
President, Doug Otto, inducted them into the Hall of Fame.
There have been 149 alumni inducted into the LBCC Hall of Fame since 1972.
