Karen Galvan started working at Long Beach City College in 1997 as a Federal Work Study student worker in the Department of Computer Applications & Office Technology. She progressed to a Limited Term Employee position and then to a permanent Classified Employee for the CAOT department.

Karen transferred to the CSULB Bachelor of Arts Professional Studies in Vocational Arts. The program was dissolved at CSULB and was transferred to Dominguez Hills, where Karen plans to finish her bachelor’s degree.
