Long Beach City College offers the following courses through Disabled Students Programs & Services:

Counseling (COUNS 1)

The Counseling 1 course is designed to help you become successfully achieve your goals at Long Beach City College. In this course you will become familiar with Long Beach City College's educational programs and resources. You will also learn about the key success factors related to college success, and will develop a host of skills needed by today's student with a disability.

Since this is an online course you need to use a computer with internet access to complete the class. You will be asked to read and respond to a variety of information/documents posted on this website. You need to read these documents just as if you were given them in person to read in class.

We will also be asking you to communicate through email and posting your thoughts in a special discussion forum. Once you get the hang of it you will be commenting on a variety of selected topics and issues related to college success.

There are 8 modules included in Counseling 1. Each Module is dedicated to a specific theme. Each theme represents important concepts and information critical to success at Long Beach City College.
