The Long Beach City College annual fashion show provides an opportunity for design students to showcase the garments that they have created in their classes throughout the school year. All design students are invited to present their designs whether they are in their first semester or their last.
The fashion show also provides a learning experience for merchandising and design students to work as a team on the production of a full-scale fashion show that is aired live on cable TV. They are involved in all facets of the production including planning the budget, selecting the theme, advertising the show, hiring professional models, styling and accessorizing the garments, and determining the entertainment.
