  FOREIGN LANGUAGE PREREQUISITE
 
If you have taken: You qualify for:
1 year of a Language in High School That Language Level 1 (recommended) or Level 2
2 years of a Language in High School That Language Level 2 (recommended) or Level 3
3 years of a Language in High School That Language Level 3 (recommended) or Level 4
4 years of a Language in High School That Language Level 4
 

If you are a native speaker of Spanish, you should take SPAN 9/SPAN 10 (neither of these classes has a prerequisite). See Top 5 Reasons Why Native Speakers Should Take Spanish 9/Spanish 10. It is highly recommended that students take SPAN 9 and then SPAN 10 (in this order).
