Lance Adams

Lance Adams

Lance Adams is a partner with Windes & McClaughry Accountancy Corporation, based in Long Beach. His focus as a CPA includes financial statement assurance and consulting services for private businesses and nonprofit organizations. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Lance serves on the audit committee for the LBCC Foundation.
Arturo Aguayo

Arturo Aguayo

Arturo Aguayo was raised in Long Beach and is a graduate of Long Beach City College. He has ten years of public finance experience including consulting, investment banking, and treasury administration. Currently, Mr Aguayo is Director of Financing for the University of Southern California. He is responsible for managing the University's $1.3 billion debt program. This includes managing the University's banking relationships, capital market activities, and liquidity operations. Mr. Aguayo earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills. His securities licenses include Series 7,52 and 63. Additionally, Mr. Aguayo has earned the Certified Treasury Professional designation, a prestigious credential awarded by the Association for Financial Professionals.
Fidel Aguayo

Fidel Aguayo

Fidel Aguayo was raised in Long Beach and is a graduate of Long Beach City College. He has ten years of public finance experience including accounting, budgeting, and bond financing. Currently, Mr. Aguayo is employed by Siebert Brandford Shank Investment Bankers. He provides investment banking services to government agencies in the State of California. This includes cities, counties, school districts, municipal utilities, and transportation authorities. He has participated on approximately $40 billion in California bond transactions including over $4.5 billion in senior managed financings. Mr. Aguayo earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills. His securities licenses include Series 52 and 63. Mr. Aguayo is also a graduate of Leadership Southern California.
Marc Allmeroth

Marc Allmeroth

Marc Allmeroth is an LBCC alumnus. He is a partner with Garner, Zahn and Allmeroth law firm, He recently completed a term as President of the LB Bar Association.
Dr. F. King Alexander

Dr. F. King Alexander

Dr. F. King Alexander, President of California State University Long Beach, serves as an Honorary Governor. Prior to coming to Cal State in November 2005, Dr. Alexander was President of Murray State University in Kentucky. He also serves as a faculty affiliate at Cornell University's prestigious Higher Education Research Institute and a Faculty Foundation Fellow at Harris Manchester College at the University of Oxford. Dr. Alexander has had several of his research projects published over the years.
Ed Arnold

Ed Arnold

Ed Arnold is an LBCC alumnus. He is principal of Arnold and Associates, a Long Beach based property management and development firm. Ed retired as a captain with the Los Angeles Fire Department after 22 years. He has the distinction of graduating from the first Paramedic Class for the City of Los Angeles.
Bill Barnes

Bill Barnes

LBCC alumnus Bill Barnes has devoted most of his professional life to Long Beach City College. He has served in a number of administrative position at LBCC culminating as Provost of the Pacific Coast Campus. Bill was one of the original board members and has spent his retired life encouraging participation both financial and moral.
Dr. Martha Molina Bernadett

Dr. Martha Molina Bernadett

LBCC Alumna, Dr. Martha Molina Bernadett is a physician and vice president of Molina Health Care, Inc. Her special interest is continuing the fine programs in the Nursing and Allied Health departments at Long Beach City College.
Kristin Biale-Gonda

Kristin Biale-Gonda

Kristin Biale-Gonda recently joined the Foundation Board of Governors as the Boeing representative. Kristin is a member of the Leadership team for The Boeing Company in Long Beach and has financial responsibility for the Company's Commercial Aviation Services business in Long Beach. She provides managerial oversight, process improvements, personnel development and growth for over 70 staff and managers. In the recent past, Kristin was also responsible for providing financial leadership for Boeing's commercial aircraft freighter conversion businesses. Kristin has held management positions in Strategy Integration, Marketing and Business Development. Kristin balances work and family. She and her husband have three children. Kristin is an active parent in the South Coast YMCA, helping to shape the before and after school programs. Kristin holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California State University Fullerton and MBA from Claremont Graduate University.
Lorain Brault

Lorain Brault

LBCC Alumna G. Lorain Brault, MS, RNP, served as Director of Health Services at Fullerton College from 1999 to 2006. She has spent thirty years in health care administration and education. She served as Chairman of the Board of the California Association for Health Services at Home, State President for Health Service Administration of California Community Colleges and was appointed to the National Health and Human Services Commission on the Nursing Shortage. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the City of Long Beach Public Health Department and has been Chairman of that Board for two years.
Dr. Byron Breland

Dr. Byron Breland

Dr. Byron Breland serves as the Associate Vice President of the Pacific Coast Campus of Long Beach City College where he is responsible for making sure that the instructional, student services, and administrative operations of the Pacific Coast Campus function effectively. Dr. Clift Breland holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer Economics, and a Master of Science degree in Family Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park. He also has a Master of Science degree in Education and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Counseling Psychology, both from the University of Southern California.
James Callahan

James Callahan

James Callahan is the President CEO of Nautilus International Holding Company, which handles maritime stevedoring throughout the world. He serves on the Board of the Pacific Coast Campus Vocational Associates because he understands the importance of promoting academic excellence in the trades. He also serves on the LBCC Foundation grants committee.
Kendra Canape

Kendra S. Canape

Kendra S. Canape is an attorney for Keesal, Young and Logan in Long Beach. She is a member of the California State Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the Long Beach Bar Association. She is an advisory board member for MATFA, and is on the UCSD Triton Athletic Board. While attending UCSD she was a competitor for the Women's NCAA Volleyball team and the NCAA Track and Field Team, where she was a four-time first team All-Conference selection, named a First-team All-American selection and set four school records. She was also a UCSD Athlete of the Year.

Blanche Cannady

Blanche Cannady

Blanche Brewster Cannady, past president of the LBCC Foundation Board of Governors, retired from Long Beach Unified School District having served as teacher, elementary school principal and Assistant Superintendent, Elementary Division. She has also served as an hourly instructor at LBCC and as Commissioner on the Personnel Commission, LBCC. She is affiliated with Children's Benefit League, Long Beach Memorial Women's Hospital League, Soroptimist International of Long Beach, Steel Magnolias, CAMEO Professional Auxiliary of Assistance League of Long Beach, Eta Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma and Volunteer Services of Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.
Mary Crane

Mary Crane

Mary Crane, long time Long Beach resident, has been an involved community leader. She has been active with Leadership Long Beach Class of 1997, Assistance League of Long Beach Life Member, National Assistance League, Rick Rackers, Auxiliary to Assistance League of Long Beach, Long Beach League for the John Tracy Clinic Life Member, Intra-fraternity Mother's Council, University of Southern California, Long Beach Day Nursery Board of Directors and the St. Bartholomew Women's Council.  Mary's Long Beach City College work experience includes being the Hall of Fame Coordinator, Interim Alumni Director, and Administrative Assistant for the Foundation.
Dr. Tom Clark

Dr. Tom Clark

Alumnus Dr. Tom Clark has served on the Foundation Board for over 20 years. He is a former LB City Council Member and LB Mayor. He currently serves not only on the Foundation Finance Committee and Investment Subcommittee but also as the President of the Long Beach Community College District Board of Trustees.
Maria Cochran

Maria Cochran

Maria Cochran, lifelong resident of Long Beach, and former LBCC Foundation "Gateway to Greatness" fundraising Manager, now works as Director of Development at Dramatic Results in Signal Hill. She has received the outstanding member award from the John Tracy Clinic League, and the "Whale of a Job" award from the Junior League of Long Beach. She is a new member of Cameo and is a current member of the Golden Key International Society. Formerly, Maria was Vice President of the Long Beach Day Nursery, Treasurer and Vice President of Junior League of Long Beach, board member and Crescendo Chair of the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra and board member Dramatic Results. She is an LBCC Alumna.
Mark Curtis

Mark Curtis

Alumnus Mark Curtis is a past-President of the LBCC Foundation and a member of the President's Circle. He serves on the Foundation Finance Committee and also served as chair of the successful Measure E Bond Campaign for Long Beach City College. Mark practices family law and is a partner with the firm Newell, Curtis, Nelson, Schuur & Burnight.
