Rose Del Gaudio

Rose Del Gaudio

Honorary Governor Rose Del Gaudio has been appointed Vice President, Human Resources at LBCC. She was previously Director of Staff Diversity/Staff Development at Long Beach City College from 1991 to 1997. She served as Assistant Vice Chancellor of Human Resources at Rancho Santiago Community College District from 1997-2007.  In 2002, she received the "Volunteer of the Year, from ACCCA", a professional development network for community college administrators statewide.  She also has been affiliated with many community organizations such as Cameo, professional auxiliary of the Assistance League of Long Beach, the Long Beach Police Department Recruitment Task Force and Leadership Long Beach.  Ms. Del Gaudio is currently also a member of varied groups including the Association of California Community College Administrators, the Statewide Chancellor's Human Resource Advisory Committee and the ACCCA Management Development Commission.

Gary DeLong

Gary DeLong

Gary DeLong is 3rd District Councilman for the City of Long Beach. He is involved in many community organizations: Childnet, Aquarium of the Pacific, Goodwill Industries Boards. He also served on the City of Long Beach Economic Development Commission. On the Foundation Board Gary serves on the Scholarship Committee and has opened his home for Foundation events. Gary and his wife Dawna just had a baby girl.
Diane DeWalsche

Diane DeWalsche

Alumna Diane DeWalsche is a graduate of the LVN and RN program. She is Chief Operating Officer at Community Hospital of Long Beach. Diane serves as LBCC Foundation Vice President/Awards and Scholarships. She is chair of the Foundation Scholarship and Strategic Planning Scholarship Task Group Committees. She is also active with the Health Care Associates of the LBCC Foundation.
Steve Dodge

Steve Dodge

Steve Dodge, a long time Long Beach resident and LBCC alumni, is now retired and is currently involved as a board member for the International City Theatre and at one time was board president. He is also a Collectors Circle member of the Long Beach Museum of Art and a Colleague member of the Museum of Latin American Art. He is a Charter Member and Charter Education Volunteer of the Aquarium of the Pacific. He has been involved with the Greater Long Beach Girl Scouts and served two terms as President. Before retiring as Director of Employee Relations at the Long Beach Unified School District, Mr. Dodge was vice-principal and principal of numerous Long Beach schools and a member of many educational associations.
Dr. Minnie Douglas

Dr. Minnie Douglas

A former Long Beach City College nursing professor and alumna, Dr. Minnie Douglas is the owner and a consultant for Douglas Health Education in Long Beach. She received a BSN degree at California State University Los Angeles and received an Ed.D at Pepperdine University. Dr. Douglas is currently affiliated with the Long Beach Human Relations Committee, the Long Beach Arts Council (PCA), the Long Beach Day Nursery, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and is a life member of the Long Beach Branch of the NAACP. She was recently recognized with the Leadership Long Beach Outstanding Alumni Award.
Bob Ellis

Bob Ellis

LBCC Alumnus, Bob Ellis, attended Long Beach City College after serving in the Navy during World War II. He eventually became a teacher and administrator in the LBUSD. Bob very active with California Retired Teachers Association both statewide and in Long Beach. He serves on the Grant and Scholarship Committees, is treasurer of the Senior Studies Associates and is chair of the Associate Group Strategic Planning Tas Group.
Anne Emigh

Anne Emigh

Anne Emigh, LBCC alum, received her Degree in Dental Hygiene from UCLA, and is married to Long Beach dentist, Robert F. Emigh. In addition to assisting her husband in the dental office, Anne also at one time had a decorative painting business. Over the years, she has volunteered for numerous community organizations ranging from coaching soccer, Junior League Board, PTA President, Leadership Long Beach, and coordinating and training 90 artists to resurrect a church chap
Marcelle Epley Marcelle Epley
Marcelle Epley
is the Chief Administrative Officer & Senior Vice President at Long Beach Transit. She is a 2005 graduate of Leadership Long Beach, has served on a number of non-profit boards and committees and assisted the college with fundraising and marketing activities. She earned her MBA from California State University, Long Beach and her associates degree from El Camino Community College. She is an advocate of the community college experience as a premier gateway to transfer to a four-year college or to start a career. She and her husband, Jeff Epley, a professor of English at LBCC, recently had a baby boy and they can be seen riding their bikes throughout Long Beach with toddler in tow!
Stuart L. Farber

Stuart L. Farber

Dr. Stuart L. Farber has been named an LBCC Distinguished Alumnus and elected to the Alumni Hall of Fame. Dean Emeritus at California State University, Long Beach, he has been active on community boards such as chair of the Citizens Advisory Commission for the Handicapped, Vice-Chair of the Navy Properties RE-use Committee. He is a founding member of the YMCA Board of Directors and Long Beach Conservation Corps. He has received a Proclamation from the City of Long Beach and a Citation from the US Congress.

Kathy M. Fishkin

Kathy Fishkin is Chief Financial Officer for the JW Rich Investment Company and Rich Development Company in San Pedro. A graduate of Leadership Long Beach, Kathy has served on the boards of the Arts Council and Long Beach Non Profit Partnership.
Bob Foster

Bob Foster

Mayor Bob Foster is a widely-respected business and community leader, who was elected as the 27th mayor of Long Beach in June, 2006. Mayor Foster served as president of Southern California Edison before his retirement in 2006 after more than 20 years with the company. As an Edison executive, Mayor Foster led California's largest electric company through the 1999 energy crisis. During Mayor Foster's tenure, Edison developed the largest renewable, clean energy programs (solar, geothermal, biomass and wind) in the United States. Mayor Foster began his career in public service as a staffer in the California State Senate and California Energy Commission where he established statewide energy efficiency standards that are still in force today. He was appointed as the Environment Committee chair for the U.S. Conference of Mayors in 2008. Mayor Foster is a graduate of San Jose State University in public administration. Prior to his election as mayor, Mayor Foster served as a trustee to the California State University system and remains active in a number of community and public policy organizations. Mayor Foster and his wife, Nancy, have been married for 40 years and have two grown sons and three grandchildren. The Mayor and Mrs. Foster work to support a variety of community organizations.
Ann-Marie Gabel

Ann-Marie Gabel

Honorary Governor Ann-Marie Gabel is the Vice President of Administrative Services at Long Beach City College. She has worked at area community colleges for the past nine years. Prior to that, she spent seven years working for a large, local CPA firm performing independent audits on K-12 and community college districts. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association of California Community College Administrators (ACCCA). She has agreed to serve on the Foundation audit committee.

Dr. Mark Garlington

Dr. Mark Garlington

Dr. Mark Garlington Garlington is a dentist in Long Beach and has been a resident for over twenty years. He served as past president of the Harbor Dental Society and is a current member of the Long Beach Rotary. He is also a senior advisor for the Assistance League of Long Beach Orthodontic Center. Dr. Garlington was honored as a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Bernard Gleason

Dr. Bernard Gleason

Dr. Bernard Gleason is a retired Business Professor from Long Beach City College where he taught for 40 years and was named "Outstanding Colleague" in 1991. Additionally, he was President of both the Academic Senate and the California Teachers Association. He is a past President of the Board of Directors at Pacific Hospital and currently serves on the Board of Directors of LBS Financial Credit Union. He and his wife, Barbara, were instrumental in the passage of the LBCC Bond Measure E.
Dan Gooch

Dan Gooch

Dan Gooch worked for the City of Long Beach for 32 years before retiring. He has been a LBCC Foundation scholarship donor for almost 20 years donating proceeds from his annual "Goose Invitational Golf Tournament." He is currently the Chair of the Huntington Beach Personnel Commission as well as an active member of the Long Beach Century Club and Long Beach State Athletic Foundation.
Ivy Arlinda Goolsby

Ivy Arlinda Goolsby

Ivy Goolsby, an LBCC alumna, recently completed an successful term as President of the Women' s Council of the LB Chamber of Commerce which donates scholarships to LBCC students. Before serving as Director of International Realty and Investments, Ivy was employed by Pacific Bell for 25 years. Her current community involvements include National Council of Negro Women, California Conference for Equality and Justice, American Business Women' s Association, NAACP, Red Cross, Zonta Club Long Beach Museum of Art and St. Mary Medical Center.
Randy Gordon

Randy Gordon

Randy Gordon is the President of the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. Under his leadership Chamber membership has grown and diversified. Randy has made valuable contacts throughout the city, state and national which have benefited our community. He has also served as President of Long Beach Rotary Club.
Jonathan D.

Jonathan D. "Jon" Gotz

Jonathan "Jon" Gotz is the owner and President of the Gotz Insurance Agency, Inc. in Long Beach. He is a member and Past President of the Lakewood Rotary. Jon is also a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors in Long Beach, the Association of Health Insurance Agents, and the National Association of Health Underwriters. He is a Board member of the Long Beach Housing Development Corporation, Long Beach Day Nursery, Long Beach American Red Cross, Long Beach Boy Scouts, Woodruff Community Hospital, Ronald McDonald House in Long Beach and Temple Israel of Long Beach. He also is a committee member on the City of Long Beach Neighborhood Preservation Loan Committee and the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. He received Merit from the LBAC Boy Scouts, and Distinguished Service Award from the Lakewood Rotary.

Dr. Noel Hacegaba

Dr. Noel Hacegaba

Dr. Noel Hacegaba has just been appointed executive officer to the Board of Long Beach Harbor Commissioners. His responsibility will be to serve as the port's international liaison and de facto diplomat responsible for the Harbor department's numerous foreign customers and elected contacts. In addition, Dr. Hacegaba is an adjunct professor at the University of La Verne - College of Business and Public Management. As a columnist for the Long Beach Post, he writes analysis and commentary on the latest issues in higher education.
Donna Hancock

Donna Hancock

Donna Hancock, a lifelong Long Beach resident, is self employed. She is a member of Cameo, and the Sea Coast Grace Church and also volunteers for the Long Beach Symphony. Donna has many years of experience with non-profits and fundraising.

 

John Hancock

John Hancock

John Hancock is a charter member of the Board of Governors. He serves on the Finance Committee and Investment Sub-committee, which oversees and sets policy for Foundation investments. He is a member of the Long Beach Rotary Club.
Jaclyn Tilley Hill

Jaclyn Tilley Hill

Jaclyn Tilley Hill serves on the LBCC Foundation Finance Committee and co-chairs the Financial Review Subcommittee. She is the chair of the Quality & Productivity Commission of the County of Los Angeles.
Sharon Diggs-Jackson

Sharon Diggs-Jackson

Sharon Diggs-Jackson, a Long Beach resident, began her career with the City of Long Beach in 1990 as an Analyst in the Long Beach Police Department's Narcotics and Crime Analysis Divisions. She is now the Public Affairs Officer for the Long Beach Airport and also manages the Airport's Noise Office. Ms. Diggs-Jackson is currently on the boards of Leadership Long Beach, Star Achievers Scholarship Committee, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and is a member of the Black Managers' Association. She is a former board member of the Long Beach Bar Foundation-Shortstop and also volunteers for the organization. Ms. Diggs-Jackson has received the NAACP Community Award, and was recognized by them, with others, as "Mother of the Year". She also received the Long Beach Business Journal's Women in Leadership Award.
