Jackie Kell
Jackie Kell is married to former Long Beach Mayor and LBCC Hall of Fame recipient Ernie Kell. She received her J.D. at the Western State University of Law. She served as Vice Mayor of Long Beach from 1998 to 2006. Jackie is a member of the Children's Benefit League, El Dorado Woman's Club, League of Women Voters and Long Beach First. She is a board member for the Golden State Humane Society. She is a past member of the American Association of University Women and the American Heart Association and is a former Long Beach councilwoman. |

Thomas W. King
Thomas W. King is a long-time Long Beach resident is currently the Director of Ancillary Services at Community Hospital of Long Beach. He previously held directorships at St. Mary's Medical, Pacific Medical, Bellwood Medical, and Daniel Freemen Medical Centers. He is currently active with the LBCC Foundation's Health Care Associates, California Society of Healthcare Engineering, California Society of Safety Engineers, American Registry of Radiological Technologists, California State License C.R.T., American Society of Nuclear Medicine, California State License N.M.T. and the Society of Nuclear Medicine Technologist Division. He was a former member of the American Heart Association Cardiovascular Section, American Biological Photographers Association, and was president of the St. Mary's Medical Center Long Beach Federal Credit Union. |

Marie La Fortune
Dr. Marie La Fortune was Director of Nursing at Long Beach Memorial Women's Hospital before retiring after a 38 year career in nursing. She was also a Nursing instructor at LBCC from 1963 to 1973. She is past president of Memorial Women's Hospital League and serves on its Board of Directors and volunteers for its philanthropy "Books for Babies", and is also an LBCC Foundation volunteer. Marie has been affiliated with the Board of Directors at the University of California Irvine Center of Health Education, Soroptimist International, Long Beach, Long Beach/Qingdao Sister City Committee, United Nations 50 City Committee, Women's History Month Association, Board of Directors Women's Counsel, Chamber of Commerce, United Nations Association, Long Beach Chapter. She is listed in the Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in American Nursing, Foremost Women in the Twentieth Century and International Biographical Association Cambridge, England. Dr. La Fortune also received the "Woman of Distinction Award" from Soroptimist International in 2008. |

Bob Luskin
Bob Luskin is a retired real estate broker. He has been a great resource to the Foundation Finance Committee when we receive donations of property. Bob serves on the Long Beach Rotary Scholarship Foundation which funds over 100 Rotary Club of Long Beach Scholarships annually to LBCC students. |

Dr. Debbie Malumed
Dr. Debbie Malumed will serve as an Honorary Governor. She has been affiliated as a physician in family practice with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group and the Permanente Group in Sacramento since 2000. From 1984 to 2000 she practiced medicine with the Harriman Jones Medical Group. Dr. Malumed is a member of many professional organizations including the American Academy of Family Physicians, the California Medical Association and the Los Angeles County Medical Association. She is also active in the community, serving as a volunteer clinical instructor for the Family Medicine Residency at the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and as a member of the Yellow Fox Foundation Board. |

Dr. Bill Marmion
Three generations of Marmions have attended Long Beach City College. Dr. Bill Marmion's father, George Marmion, was a charter member of the LBCC Foundation Board. Bill served as Foundation Treasurer for a number of years, as well as President. He was also chair of the Long Beach City College 75th Anniversary Celebration and chair of the first bond-oversight committee. Bill was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame in 2003. |

Todd Victor Mason is a state sales coordinator for AFLAC Ca - Los Angeles North East in Long Beach. He is on the Board of Directors for the KAY Alumni, Georgia, 100 Black Men of Long Beach, and Beach Cities Legacy. He has received numerous military awards, among them for Operation Desert Storm. He was Graduate Student of the Year for NCA & TSU, and was Community Corporate Sponsor of the Year for the 100 Black Men of Long Beach. |

He previously served as President of the Board of Directors for the Long Beach Port Ambassadors and the Long Beach Marathon and is currently a member of TEC International (coalition of CEOs). Mr. McDaniel has worked in Long Beach for over thirty-five years. |

Chief Jim McDonnell
Chief Jim McDonnell is the 25th Chief of Police for the Long Beach Police Department. He served with the Los Angeles Police Department for 28 years and has received numerous community and department awards, including the LAPD's highest award for bravery, the Medal of Valor. Chief McDonnell serves on numerous Boards of Directors that focus on furthering the interests of local youth and leadership in the policing profession on both a local and statewide level. He is an active member of several more organizations, such as the International Association of Chiefs of Police; California Peace Officers' Association; California Police Chiefs' Association, Peace Officers Association of Los Angeles County, and the Southern California Leadership Network. Chief McDonnell is recognized as an expert on policing issues and has lectured on these topics around the world. He currently teaches public policy issues at the University of California, Los Angeles. |

Freda Hinsche Otto
Freda Hinsche Otto, a Long Beach resident and LBCC alumnae, is currently a principal of Hinsche Otto Consulting Group formed in 2003. She was formerly the Assistant Vice Chancellor for University Advancement for the 23-campus California State University system, served as Vice President for Major Gifts for the St. Mary Medical Center Foundation, and worked in executive positions in Alumni Relations and Central Development at the University of Southern California. She presently serves on the board of Long Beach Transit and is a board member and officer of St. Mary Towers Retirement Housing Association. In 2007 she was appointed by Supervisor Don Knabe to the L.A. County Citizens Economy and Efficiency Commission. She is a board member of St. Mary Medical Center and a member of their Women in Philanthropy group, serves on the board of the Long Beach Nonprofit Partnership, and is a member and former president of the Soroptimist International of Long Beach. |

Wendy Puzarne
Wendy Puzarne, before becoming Executive Director of Jewish Family and Children's Service, served as services coordinator of the Center for Children, Youth and Families, and Associate Director. She co-facilitated the first "Healing from Abuse Group" at JFCS which led to a social worker exchange to Israel. Wendy is a member of Soroptimist International of Long Beach and is currently serving as co-chair of the Philanthropy committee. She was a board member for the End Abuse Council of Long Beach serving as program chair and vice president. In 2007 she received the "End Abuse's 2007 Domestic Violence Advocacy Award"; and in 2009 she was honored by Carmel Hadassah for her dedication and service to the community. Wendy has volunteered for the Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts in Orange County.

Judy Ross, a resident of Long Beach for 35 years, is currently the Executive Director of the Long Beach Nonprofit Partnership. She is an alumna of Leadership Long Beach, and current member of their Board of Directors. She is also a past president and current member of the Junior League of Long Beach, past Board member of the Conservation Corps of Long Beach, Past Chair and current Board member of Literary Women, and past Board member of the National Conference of Community and Justice.

Brian Russell is a Long Beach resident and LBCC alumni. With over 24 years experience in commercial real estate, Brian is now Vice President of the Blair Commercial Real Estate Company. While at LBCC Brian was Associated Student Body President and received the Viking Award; he since has received the Distinguished Alumni Award. He is currently President of the Long Beach Real Estate Council, Chair-elect of the Long Beach Day Nursery Board of Directors, Long Beach Area Council Boy Scouts of America Executive Board, Chair of Camping & Outdoor Activities and Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 126. He is also on the Board of Governors for the Los Altos Family YMCA and Early Childhood Education, Long Beach YMCA.
