Mission Statement
Instructional and Information Technology Services (IITS) supports the campus, local and global communities through various technologies in accordance with the college's educational mission. We work proactively with all college constituents to integrate our professional expertise in the areas of Application Development and Support; Instructional Media Production Services; Instructional Technology and Distance Learning Development Services; Academic Computing and Multimedia Equipment Services; and Network Services and User Support. In addition to training and enabling our users access to the various systems; we evaluate, advise, enhance, design, develop and support technological systems, processes and advancements on a daily basis while looking forward to and planning for the emerging trends in a constantly evolving technological environment.
Goals
- IITS will streamline practices to create efficiencies and economize resources to meet the growing technological needs and demands of the college constituents. IITS will also support student success through the design and implementation of instructional and information technology solutions across related college practices and in response to demonstrated demand through stated SLOs/SUOs college wide.
- IITS will provide timely user support and assistance for the college community; design and facilitate training and professional activities, develop systems and e-learning materials as necessary to fit students, faculty and staff needs in support of the Student Success Plan.
- IITS will establish its identity and define its role within the college community. IITS will be proactively involved in college practices to promote the division's activities through presentations, web pages, e-mails, flyers and newsletters.
- IITS will research, evaluate and recommend enhancements in emerging instructional and information technology advancements that will be reflected in application development and tools that will be used college-wide, improving on existing applications or replacing older, non-technology mediated practices.
