Course Administration Settings

Make sure you have selected your course.

Go to the Settings block > Edit Settings

Format Set up or remove the Format:

This is where you will set up your course in "Module" view (Moodle calls this  "Topics,"), or "Weekly" view. See below for instructions on how to choose neither.

Topics Format:    At LBCC, the term "Modules" might be more familiar to you.

Weekly Format:   It is important that you choose the correct start date, so the weeks will have the correct dates.

Course Start Date:

Change this date if you are starting a course later in a semester.

Show gradebook to students:

Choose "No" here if you are currently not using the Gradebook.

Change Maximum Upload size:

The default setting for each course allows file uploads up to 50MB. Instructions for changing this setting

Formatting options for Topics / Weekly Format:

Change number the weeks or topics to zero if you are only going to place information in the Header Block section and you will not be providing weekly information.

Course layout: Here is where the "show one section per page" option is located.

Change for a five or nine week course, etc. In the spring semester, you might want to set your course up for 17 weeks, rather than 16, because of spring break.

Availability: Make the course available to students, or remove availability. Instructions
