Going to college is exciting and fun!

– but the transition from high school can at times seem

   a bit overwhelming and intimidating.

Here are some tips from student LBCC's Ambassadors: 




     Edwin Martinez:

Keep in contact with your counselor. They will be the key to your academic success. 


Take advantage of all the scholarships LBCC has to offer. Join programs that will distinguish you from other students.



     Amarachi Onwu:

Alway have a positive attitude no matter the situation you find yourself in or how difficult something is, you will surely make it though.


Never feel ashamed to ask for help from your professors they are there to help you achieve success.



     Eleine Bun:

College is hard. It's okay to take a breather, just remember to not give up and keep moving forward.


Don't be afraid to take the initiative and try something out of your comfort zone.



     Javier Salcedo:

Use a planner and schedule your events to make sure you are on top of all of your activities throughout each day.


The more people you meet, the more opportunities you open up for yourself.


     Kylee Cruz:

Get help when you need it, don't be afraid to ask.


Take advantage of the student success centers, they are there to help you succeed.
