Census Reporting: Reporting No Shows and Not Actives
Oracle PeopleSoft

Follow the instructions to enter your grades (Online Grades/Instructors) to enter an "NS" or "NA" for No Show or "W" for Withdrawn.

It is essential to enter your "No Shows" OR "Not Actives" on your Grade Rosters before the Census deadline. The deadline for 18 week courses is usually about three weeks after the start of the semester.

NS = No Shows
No Show will still be used for students who have NEVER attended one class meeting.
NA = Not Active
There will be a new mark on your online grading roster for students who have either stopped coming to class or in your professional opinion are no longer active in class before the census date AND have attended at least one class meeting = NA (not active)

To find out important dates using PeopleSoft: Go to the Web Class Roster area for each individual class. Important dates appear at the top.

More important information about grades is listed below.

Census Reporting Dates

IMPORTANT NOTE: NS, W, I, and RD grades
The last date an instructor can give a "NS" (No Show) or "NA" (Not Active) grade for an 18 week is at the twenty percent (20%) mark of a class.
The grading system will not allow "NS" to be entered after that date. Be sure to enter this into Oracle in a timely manner.
"W" (Withdraw) grade can be entered after the census day (or 20% mark) and before the 75% mark (see above in the deadlines box)
Dates cannot be changed so be sure to enter your withdrawals in a timely manner. After the 75% mark a letter grade MUST be entered.
"I" (Incomplete) grade must have the appropriate form completed showing the letter grade the student would be getting NOW if no additional work would be completed. Many times this is an "F". The student has a year to complete their assignment. If the student fails to complete the assigned work after a year the letter grade indicated on the instructor's form will be assigned.
"RD" (Report Delayed) grade will be placed on all students' record whose instructors' did not submit their grade by the grading deadline.
The RD process will be run one day after the grading deadline.

Be sure to SAVE your entries.

If you have questions regarding deadline dates for sessions please refer to the following deadline date box as shown above.
