Troubleshooting while Printing:
You may have trouble printing pages from your Internet browser. If so, check the "Troubleshooting while Printing" section of the Help Files.
Downloading the Excel file
To download the roster to your computer click on the Download Icon" icon at the top right of each section.

The following message will be displayed. This might be slightly different depending on the web browser being used.

Click on the Save button to save a copy of the student roster to your local computer. It will be saved in MS-Excel format. The name of the file will be "ps.xls." as shown above.
Troubleshooting with the Download Icon
Some troubleshooting may be necessary if the file does not open.
a. You may have to set your browser to allow pop-ups.
See the ITDC Help Files for help with Internet browsers: http://itdc.lbcc.edu/workshops/knowhow > Web > Allow Pop-Ups
b. ANOTHER HELPFUL HINT: Press and hold the CTRL key while clicking a link that opens a pop-up. This will override the Pop-Up Blocker just for that one click and allow any pop-up windows resulting from the click to appear. You will have to hold down the CTRL key before clicking the link every time you click on a link that is currently being blocked.
c. The easiest way to deal with this problem may be to unblock the pop-up for that individual page.
If the Excel file does not seem to open with Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, look at the top of the browser window for a message like the one below. Usually a yellow bar will appear the length of your browser window. With the Mac browser Safari, you will always have to block pop-ups in advance.

Click on the OPTIONS button and choose "Allow Pop-Ups..."
This will allow pop-ups from this site only.
(Internet Explorer and Firefox)

NEW: d. Sometimes, a message like the one below appears in Excel.
An indication of this is:
PC: An Excel Application tab in your Task Bar might be blinking.
MAC: The Excel icon in your dock might be jumping.
This message box is sometimes hidden under your Internet browser window. Minimize the browser to view Excel.
The message reads: "The file you are trying to open: 'ps.xls' is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?" Click the Yes button. The ps.xls file will open.

e. Depending on your browser settings, the file may go directly to your Desktop, Downloads Folder or Saved Attachments folder.
