The swap class function is used to switch one course number for another course number if they are the same class.
An attempt to swap two different courses will result in an error. For example, a Bio 2 course cannot be swapped for a Bio 1 course.
This let suppose that a student might wish to swap a Tuesday-Thursday Bio2 course for a Monday-Wednesday Bio 2 course.
This is accomplished by clicking on the Enrollment Tab and Swap sub tab as shown below.

In the Swap This Course section of the screen select the course to be swapped. This is down via the drop down menu. In this example Jack Student1 has selected to swap his Bio 2 course.

Next, either search for another Bio 2 source via the search button, or enter the Class number. In this example, Jack already knows the class number for the Monday-Wednesday Bio 2 class that better fits his schedule. The value, in this example 32967, is entered. Then the enter button is clicked.

The screen for Step 1 of the process is displayed as shown below.

Click on the Next button.

The following screen will appear with more detailed information about the class. If the course information and schedule support the desired change, click on the next button.

These sections explain what course is being swapped and the course that it will be replaced by.

If a mistake has been made, click the Cancel button and restart the process, otherwise click the Finish Swapping button to complete the process.

The third step is the display of the 3 View Results screen as shown below. The big green checkmark in the Status column confirms that the swap was completed.

Click on the My Class Schedule button.
Note that Jack, as shown below, is now enrolled in the Mon-Wed course as he wanted.
