Welcome to the Program Review website!
Department Planning is an annual process which provides departments to develop their goals, projects or strategies and submit any resource requests to help them achieve their goals, projects or strategies. Initial goals, projects and strategies are usually set in the first year of a three-year planning cycle, but updates on their progress are expected annually. If needed, resource requests can also be submitted for review and consideration annually.
Program Review is conducted every three years. It affords the departments and programs a chance to step back and reflect on their accomplishments and challenges over the past three years. Progress towards goals, projects and strategies, and the results of outcomes assessments are integral parts of the program review process. For the instructional area, approximately one third of the programs undergo program review in a give year, according to the schedule set by the Program Review Subcommittee. For the Student Support Services and Administrative areas, all departments conduct program review at the same time. 2011-12 was the first year of program reviews being conducted under the revised process which began in 2009-10.
