Cathy Crane launched her career in Theatre in Columbus , Ohio working with costume designer, Dick Frank, on Miss America pageant costumes. She relocated to California where she earned her MFA degree in Costume Design at California Institute of the Arts in 1984. Long Beach City College snatched her from unemployment upon graduation and she has been a faculty member ever since. Favorite productions at LBCC include: "Amadeus," "Agamemnon," "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," "Marat/Sade," "Royal Hunt of the Sun," and "The Robber Bridegroom." Additionally, Cathy has designed costumes for: Shakespeare Orange County , International City Theatre, Theatre West, Back Alley Theatre, Long Beach Studio Theatre, Globe Theatre, Los Angeles City College , Chapman University , CSU Bakersfield and CSU Long Beach. Cathy is currently serving as the Department Head of the Department of Theatre, Dance & Film.

Daron Sorg started at LBCC in 1991. He earned his B.A. in technical theatre from Cal State University Long Beach with an emphasis in Costume Design in 1993. Here at LBCC he is the Costume Technician. He is also faculty at Brooks College where he teaches the Sewing and Costume Classes. He has worked in different capacities in the costume area to include Cutter, Assistant Designer, Dyer / Painter, Tailor, Crafts Person and Shop Supervisor. He has worked with a number of theatre companies and colleges including Santa Ana College, Utah Shakespeare Festival, San Diego Repertory Theatre, Saddleback Repertory, Grove Shakespeare Festival, Chapman University, and Shakespeare Orange County. He is also the graphic stylist for the NFFC, a Disneyana Enthusiast group.
