Activities and Field Trips American Language and Culture Institute
Students
Usually, one field trip and one on-campus activity are planned per nine week session. Typically, one field trip is an excursion to a major Southern California attraction, such as the Long Beach Aquarium or the Queen Mary. The other activity correlates to a seasonal or holiday event, such as a summer barbeque or Halloween pumpkin carving. Participating in field trips and activities helps students become familiar with the local community, exposes students to cultural, historical, and other attractions unique to Southern California and provides opportunities for practicing English language skills outside of the classroom.
