We’re quite proud of our facilities which are some of the best in California. There are 21 work spaces well equipped with tools for student use. Our curriculum is supported with separate areas for casting, etching and enameling, and forming and finishing. Our students’ work has received attention from Art Jewelry magazine, Lark Books 500 Necklaces, 500 Earrings, 500 Wedding Rings, won a Niche Award, a Women’s Jewelry Association Scholarship and been exhibited in numerous local, regional and national shows. We offer a number of options to meet the varying goals of our student body. Many students are in the transfer program fulfilling lower division requirements before going to a 4-year program. Students in the transfer track have gone on to complete their bachelor’s degrees in jewelry and metalwork at Oregon College of Crafts, California State University Long Beach, and San Diego State University.

Our program collaborates with the Metal Arts Society of Southern California to produce workshops with nationally known artists once or twice a year and we are the host of the Metal Arts Society's Demo Day which brings in series of artists from across the country for students and the larger metal arts community of artists and educators. In the past several years we have hosted workshops with Don Friedlich, Bruce Metcalf, Deb Stoner, David Pimentel, Andy Cooperman Cynthia Eid and, most recently, Barbra Minor and Chris Hentz.
