Roles

Roles will be adjusted as project definition changes from implementation to post-implementation. 

Mae Sakamoto

• Project manager.  Manage schedules, resources, timelines based on feedback from core team.  
• Coordinate project activities with core team and with Phytorion.
• Provide status updates to Project sponsors.
• Schedule regular meetings with core team until project implemented.

Janice Miller

• Lead validation of data in data warehouse.
• Providing training in use and understanding of data to business analysts.
• Support business analysts in understanding reports and work with them to create reports so they can eventually become more self-sufficient.
• Responsible for creating business reports needed for Institutional Effectiveness and campus-wide.
• Responsible for reviewing Phytorion deliverables associated with data validation. 
• Develop packages, cubes, and reports.
• Institutional core indicators.

Brent Gilmore

• Focus is on enrollment management.
• Support of data warehouse geared towards reports needed within Academic Affairs including Exec VP, Deans, Academic Administrative Assistants, and Department Heads.
• Support Cognos Enterprise Planning.
• Provide input into long-term development of the data warehouse.
• Develop packages, cubes, and reports.

Komal Bandyopadhyay 

• Technical application support resource.
• Provide assistance in creation, managing of packages, cubes, reports.
• Primary data warehouse security administrator.
• Komal will be the liaison to IBM (Cognos) to report any problems.
• Assist in training of Cognos software from technical standpoint. 
• Lead change management practices and IT best practices(version control, data sources)

Andy Dorfman

• Ensure server/database is running- system administrator/DB Administrator
• Backup for Komal in technical activities (Query studio, report studio)
• Provide backup role for application security
• Maintain database security and backups
• Assist with database design, modeling and checking
