Basic Instructions on Accessing the Data Warehouse

1. Access the site

The data warehouse is a web-based application you access via your web browser, such as Internet Explorer.

To access the Cognos Data Warehouse, please click to following icon from On-Campus or via VPN:

Or, enter the following URL into your web browser:

http://cognos/

2. Login

Once you access the site, you will be asked for a User ID and Password.  These are the same as you use for Email.

Access to the data warehouse is licensed per user. 

3. My Home

Select the link that says "My home".  This brings you to the "Cognos Conections" screen.

4. Dashboards

There are tabs at the top of your screen, including Public Folders.  There may also be tabs for Enrollment Management and Deans Dashboard or Dept Head Dashboard.

 For Enrollment Management information, select the Enrollment Management Tab.

5. "Home"

A dashboard can be set as your home, so Dean's might see the Dean's Dashboard.

To return to the Public Folders view, access the menu on the upper right of your screen, next to the little house.
