The e-mail column appears between the ID and the Name column, as shown below.

If you scroll down to select "Printer Friendly Version," the column will no longer be visible.

If you would like to create a Contact List in your e-mail program, or create a student contact list in Excel, your best option is to use the Download Icon to get an Excel file, as shown below.

Consult this page if you need help with the download icon.

Student Contact List
Copy columns C, D and E into the "Contacts" sheet in the The Excel Rollbook to create a student contact list, or create your own from this file.

excel columns C, D and E

E-Mail your students and / or create an e-mail contact group.

Select the e-mail addresses in Column D, as shown below. With some e-mail programs, you will be able to paste the information directly into the "To" or "BCC" area.

Using the BCC Feature
Many instructors prefer to use the "BCC" feature, rather than the "To" feature when they are e-mailing students, in order to insure students' privacy. BCC means "Blind Carbon Copy," and means that multiple recipients cannot see the names of other recipients.

Directions for MS Outlook

The process to do this with the LBCC Outlook Web Access (using an Internet browser to access your LBCC e-mail) are very similar to the directions below.

The following illustration is from MS Outlook. To access the "BCC" area, click on either the "To" or the "CC" button, as shown below.

You will then see the BCC button, as shown here. Click on it to add the BCC feature to your New Message.

Now, paste the student e-mail addresses into the BCC area. If the addresses paste in a column format, as shown in the first image below, click on the "CC" button, then click again on the BCC button. The names will then appear continuously, separated by semi-colons, as shown in the second image.

Click back on the BCC button. The addresses should change into the correct format.
