Associated Student Body
ASB is the student voice for over 28,000 LBCC students promoting an inclusive campus culture that supports the mission and goals of the College. ASB’s purpose is to represent LBCC students, promote cooperation among faculty, students and staff, and to stimulate the intellectual, physical, social and cultural goals through sponsorship of educational and co-curricular programs.
Any LBCC student maintaining a minimum 2.0 GPA and carrying 5 units can serve on a campus-wide committee member or as a Senate Representative. ASB provides support LBCC campus Clubs and Organizations, Cultural Affairs and many other opportunities for students to participate in Student Life at LBCC. Students who wish to serve on the ASB Cabinet must maintain a 2.5 GPA and carry at least six units. Please call (562) 938-4846 if you are interested in participating.
Our purpose and aim is to effectively represent the student body by promoting the general interest and welfare of the students we serve. We do this by providing support to campus programs, ASB grants, leadership opportunities, and fun and exciting programs. ASB continues the campus mission of excellence. ASB is here for you!
ASB Cabinet
The LBCC Associated Student Body Cabinet serves as the official “voice of the student body.” With this voice, the Student Cabinet legislates, promotes, and regulates student activities and affairs. They represent LBCC students to faculty, staff, administrators, and legislators. Sound interesting?
Meetings of the ASB Cabinet occur every other Monday at 3pm throughout the year. Meetings at the Liberal Arts Campus Take place in B-202 and meetings at the Trades, Technology, and Community Learning Campus occur in GG-238. Cabinet members hold office hours weekly in Building B, Room 105 at LAC and in the TTC Student Union, Building EE. Please email them to set-up an appointment if you would like to participate on a committee, share a concern or a solution!
