In the Theatre program, beginning through advanced acting classes are taught by instructors who are active professionals in their field and committed to student learning. Movement, Voice, Technique and Characterization are emphasized in the sequential class structure. In the technical theatre area Stage Scenery, Stage Lighting, Costume Crafts, Costume Design, Stage Makeup and Stage Management are taught by award-winning faculty designers. Theatre Forum offers performances and discussions of department productions as well as meeting guest artists. For aspiring playwrights, Stage and Screen Writing taught by working professional writers provides the opportunity to hone their craft.
