Professor, Business Administration
Jim Noggle received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from California State University at Los Angeles and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University. He is an active licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Jim began his career working for Ernst & Ernst (aka Ernst & Young “EY”), an International Certified Public Accounting firm. Jim was admitted to the Partnership and, after serving at EY for over 14 years, he elected to leave his position as a Partner to capitalize on a more personally benefiting opportunity in the industry. After leaving EY, he has further broadened his experience by serving in the capacities of Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance and Administration to Chief Operations Officer at different times for four different companies. And, prior to becoming a full-time instructor at LBCC, he had his own consulting practice serving in the areas of accounting, business planning, cash management, and general business activities.
Jim has taught accounting classes as a full-time faculty member at Long Beach City College since 2002. His previous teaching experiences include teaching accounting classes at Cypress College and California State University at Dominguez Hills. He has also taught classes and conducted seminars in auditing, accounting, business management, insurance claims administration, and professional staff development. Jim is a member of the California State Society of CPA’s, American Institute of CPA’s, the American College of Forensic Examiners and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).
