Vocational Technician, Metal Fabrication
Robert Johnson has been an employee with Long Beach City College since 1998. He was previously employed in the LBCC machine shop program for four years, and currently is the Sheet Metal Instructional Technician. Robert graduated from Long Beach Jordon High School in 1988, and has completed his Associates Degree in Sheet Metal, as well as a certificate in Sheet Metal from Long Beach City College. Prior to coming to LBCC, Robert had acquired experience in manufacturing and fabrication skills from both family business and private industry. Furthermore, over the years he has acquired education, training, and experience in various fields such as sheet metal, auto body, auto mechanics, diesel mechanics, fork-lift training, and more.
Robert’s skill in maintaining, rebuilding, and repairing machines gives him the ability to teach to students at LBCC. He has instructed numerous sheet metal classes, robotic-welding classes, and fork lift operations. He enjoys the outdoors, taking hikes and camping, and is highly motivated to assist in the success of the students at Long Beach City College.
