Staff Highlights

LBCC Hall of Fame alumni, Tammy Trujillo, continues to work to bridge the entertainment industry and education. She has been an award-winning broadcaster in Southern California for more than 30 years. She is also a full-time Professor of Broadcasting at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut and a full-time broadcast professional, heard locally on 89.3. She also provides news on stations throughout the country as well as online through Wochit, one of the top ten internet content providers in the world.

Tammy is also the author of the book, Intern Insider - Making the Most of Your Internship in the Entertainment Field. It covers the topic of internships and how they are the key to getting a foot in the door in most businesses, but particularly in the entertainment business. Tammy’s book helps students understand the importance of doing at least one internship during their college careers, explains how to get a quality internship and how to make the most of it. Tammy is currently working on a second textbook, Writing and Reporting News You Can Use, which is due out late in 2017 and will focus on creative, intelligent and ethical instruction in writing and reporting news for radio and television.
