The Athletics Associates of the Long Beach City College Foundation sponsored the 37th Annual Golf Tournament on May 19th, 2022 at Skylinks Golf Course in Long Beach. As a major fundraiser for Long Beach City College Athletics, the day was a huge success!
The Monte Nitzkowski Endowment
Honoring a LBCC legend
Monte Nitzkowski was head coach of the water polo and swimming programs from 1954-89. He led the Vikings to six state water polo championships and was selected five times to the U.S. Olympic coaching staff, serving as head coach in 1972, 1980, and 1984. He coached five Vikings into the Olympics and trained six state swimming champions.

Oh, what a night! After two long years, on Friday, March 18th, Long Beach City College Athletics finally celebrated and inducted the 17th Class of the Hall of Champions with the Annual Induction Banquet at The Grand in Long Beach.

Building champions in the classroom, champions in competition, and champions of character since 1927; Long Beach City College (LBCC) has a rich and tremendous athletic legacy. LBCC women’s soccer sophomore forward Allison Rose Veloz is no exception to that level of excellence.
