Honors Program Admissions Process
Applications are accepted throughout the year although priority will be given to those received by the application deadlines. The deadline for Fall admission is April 1. The deadline for Spring admission is November 1.
Admission decisions will be announced (by email) before registration opens. If you do not receive an email by then, please contact the office regarding the status of your application.
You may submit all required materials to the Honors Program Office directly or by email. If you are dropping materials off in person, place the materials in a sealed envelope with your name and contact information and slide it under the door.
Please note that the Admissions and Records office is not associated with the Honors Program and you will need to submit materials directly to the Honors Program even if you have already submitted those materials to Admissions and Records.
Step 1: Complete the Honors Program Application
Please complete the online Honors Program Application.
STEP 2: Ask for recommendations from academic instructors
Obtain two online recommendations from academic instructors. Remember to give them your 7-digit LBCC student ID and the link to the online Faculty Recommendation Form.
Step 3: Submit your transcripts
CURRENT LBCC & TRANSFER STUDENTS: Email unofficial transcripts from LBCC and any colleges you have attended to the Honors Program. In the Viking Student System, there are multiple ways to view your transcripts — use whatever method you prefer.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: Email your unofficial high school transcripts to the Honors Program. If available, also please email unofficial copies of your AP scores.
