Enrollment Fees

Enrollment fees are $46.00 per unit for CA residents and $355.00 for nonresident and international students. California residency status is based on residency requirements determined by the State of California. The final determination regarding residency status is made by the Admissions Office.

Some fees such as Enrollment and Student Health are determined by the State of California and are subject to change without notice. The required cost of attending LBCC includes the following fees: Enrollment or Nonresident Tuition, Student Health Services, and additional materials or facility use.

Costs for books, supplies, housing, and other tangible materials are not included.

College Services Card Fee

The College Services Card (CSC) is $20.00 for Fall & Spring terms and $13.00 for the Summer term. Obtaining a College Services Card (CSC) is optional. All students at LBCC become members of the Associated Student Body after purchasing their CSC. After purchasing their CSC sticker, first-time students can obtain a Student ID in the Student Center on either campus. The CSC sticker is placed on the back of your Student ID and displayed whenever the student is utilizing the benefits from the CSC. The fee for the College Services Card is only valid for one semester and must be renewed each term. The student can obtain their sticker by paying online or in person at the Cashier’s Office on either campus. If paying online, the CSC will be mailed to the student’s address as listed in the Viking Student System.

All students must have a valid College Services sticker to use the following services:

• Campus-to-Campus Shuttle Bus
• Scholarship eligibility
• Athletic events and college performances
• Discount tickets to theme parks and other on-campus activities
• ASB student leadership positions

Students who choose not to use college services must contact the Cashier’s Office and request a Surrender of Benefits. This will remove the $20.00 fee from the student’s account, however, the student will be denied all services associated with the card.

A $5.00 fee is charged for a replacement card.

Student Health Services Fee

The Health fee is $20.00 and is mandatory and will be charged upon registration unless the student meets the following exemption:

Any student who depends exclusively on prayer for healing in accordance with the teachings of a bona fide religious sect, denomination, or organization. Officially documented evidence of such an affiliation is required for a waiver. For more information, please contact the Director, Student Health Services and Student Life.

The Student Health Services offices are located at each campus and provide on-campus primary care health services for free or at below market cost.

Insurance coverage for accidents occurring on-campus, off-campus, or at college-sponsored events have a $0. deductible.

Parking Fee

A Parking permit is $30.00 for the Fall and Spring terms and $20.00 for the Summer and Winter terms. Parking privileges and fees are optional. Students who purchase a parking permit are entitled to park a car or motorcycle in campus lots designated for students. Student stalls are unmarked stalls.

After completing your online registration, you can purchase a parking permit through the Viking Student System or at the Cashier’s Office at any time during the semester. A valid parking permit must be posted at the bottom-left of the inside front windshield. Parking without a valid permit will result in your vehicle being cited or towed.

Voluntary Student Representation Fee

The Student Representation Fee (SRF) is $2.00 for the Fall and Spring terms.

This fee is voluntary. You may opt out of this fee from your Student Center page on the Viking Student System before paying your fees. You may only request a refund during the first two weeks of the term. Financial Aid will not apply to this fee. 

The SRF was made possible by Assembly Bill 1358, was voted and approved by the student body of Long Beach City College to use for local advocacy regarding Community College concerns. The fee supports student government affairs representatives to state positions and viewpoints before city, county, and district governments and before offices and agencies of the State government. The funds from the SRF Trust Fund shall be expended in accordance with procedures established by the student body organization consistent with the requirements of EC §76063.
