Building champions in the classroom, champions in competition, and champions of character since 1927; Long Beach City College (LBCC) has a rich and tremendous athletic legacy. LBCC women’s soccer sophomore forward Allison Rose Veloz is no exception to that level of excellence.

Allison signed her national letter of intent to further her athletic and academic career at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. This year, Veloz earned the top conference award as the Offensive Player of the Year. She also was invited to participate in the sophomore showcase at the California Community College Athletic Association State Championships and has earned All-Region and All-State nods. She finished off the season with 20 goals and nine assists.

When Veloz first came to LBCC in 2019, she brought in South Coast Conference First-Team honors and led the conference with 19 goals and seven assists.

Allison is a direct beneficiary of the support received from the Viking Athletics Club – LBCC’s premier giving society that provides access to quality resources that further the development of student-athlete success. As a state-funded community college, our operating budgets do not match the quality we are committed to providing for our current and future student-athletes.

Therefore, LBCC Athletics needs you, dedicated supporters, to help us reach our goals and support student-athletes like Allison. With your partnership, LBCC Athletics will build upon our great foundation and ensure success now and into the future. On behalf of LBCC Athletics and our current and future student athletes, we encourage you to consider a gift of $100 to our Viking Athletics Club.
