Board of Governors 21 Years of Service Recognition
Thank you, Suzanne Nosworthy and Jim Sullos!
The Foundation Board of Governors consists of volunteer business and community leaders from the Long Beach area. We are grateful to have the support of such generous and influential folks, including our longest-standing members – Jim Sullos and Suzanne Nosworthy.
Suzanne has quite the resume when it comes to community support, including serving on the Ronald McDonald House Board of Trustees, Assistance League Long Beach, Assistance League National Board, and the Long Beach Citizens Bond Oversight Committee, to name a few.
Suzanne Nosworthy has served not only as a Governor, but also as a Past President of the Long Beach City College Board of Governors. “I am honored to serve on the LBCC Foundation Board of Governors because I feel that LBCC is one of the most important assets in our community,” shared Nosworthy. “LBCC offers something for almost everyone. It is a valuable educational opportunity for students planning to transfer to a four-year university, or for students pursuing one of many technical career options.”
Jim Sullos is another long-time Long Beach volunteer. Sullos’ resume of community activism includes serving as an Advisory Council Member for Meals on Wheels, an Audit Committee Member for the Rancho Los Cerritos Foundation, and is a Founder of the Long Beach Community Foundation.
Sullos is an active and supportive member of the LBCC Foundation Board of Governors, serving as a member of the Board and on the Finance subcommittee.
Thank you, Suzanne and Jim, for your dedication to the College and the Foundation!
