Pam Fellman
An Estate Gift Brings Back Memories!
Graduating from Millikan High School in 1965, Pamela Fellman headed to Long Beach City College, and ultimately earned her Bachelor’s degree. She then went on to a long career at LBCC, working in the Financial Aid Office and finishing in Fiscal Affairs. “She was working in those areas, when there wasn’t automation and programs,” recalls long-time faculty member Dr. John Fylpaa. “It was a very different landscape. She was patient and everyone just loved her.”
“She was a wonderful person,” remembers LBCCD Trustee Dr. Ginny Baxter. “She met her husband Leonard, who taught electricity here at LBCC.”
Pamela, a long-time Board member of the LBS Federal Credit Union, was a Long Beach girl who had the students’ best interests in mind. Her Legacy Gift is a testament to that. “We are grateful to Pamela and Leonard for leaving the Long Beach City College Foundation in their estate plans,” stresses Paul Kaminski Executive Director for the LBCC Foundation. “Estate gifts provide much needed support for our students!”
The Long Beach City College Foundation is currently in a comprehensive campaign, “Funding Our Future” which will culminate in the 100-year anniversary of LBCC in 2027. “The goal of the campaign is to put funding mechanisms in place for current and future students.
