Updates on Your Foundation Team
Best wishes and warm welcomes are in order!
The Long Beach City College Foundation would like to wish Matt Guardabascio well as he makes a transition in his career. “Matt is an extremely talented guy, and we will miss him,” says Dr. John Fylpaa, Executive Board member. Not to worry, Matt will still be around as the voice of Vikings Athletics.
“Matt has been extremely instrumental in all of the changes we’ve made the past couple years,” points out Paul Kaminski, Executive Director of the LBCC Foundation. “Matt is one of those guys who can do it all, and if he doesn’t know how, he has the ability to figure it out. We are grateful for his time here. We wish him all the best!”
With Matt’s departure and the imminent retirement of Nancy Yoho, Foundation Associate Director, the Foundation welcomes two new Foundation Assistants, Letty Totah and Daniela Vega. Both in part-time roles, Letty and Daniela will help provide much-needed support for the Foundation. Letty will continue to fill her role at the Long Beach Rotary Scholarship Foundation as well as taking on operational support.
Daniela, an LBCC alumna, will help to manage the Board of Governors, and be the face of the Foundation at the front desk, as Sarah Carrasco transitions into a more robust marketing and faculty/staff giving role.
The Foundation wishes Matt continued success and welcomes Letty and Daniela!
