Senior Studies Center

The Long Beach City College Senior Studies Lifetime Learning Program is designed to engage you mentally and physically. We offer classes, seminars, tours & special events.

Mission Statement

The Senior Studies Lifetime Learning Program operates under the LBCC Foundation, a 501(c)3. The Foundation is self-supporting and the Senior Studies Program like all non-profit organizations must cover all their cost to support and pay for their programs and activities. The members of the Associates group support the program through fundraising efforts for the Senior Center at the Pacific Coast Campus.

Fall Semester 2017 classes will start Monday, August 28, 2017      

Once classes have started you may come to class and sign up anytime during the semester.

LBCC Senior Studies Program Day Tours

These outings are designed for adventurous people who want to see new sights and sit back and enjoy while we transport you there on a deluxe coach.  Join us for day trips to various destinations such as famous art museums, gardens, historical sites, theatrical performances, delicious dining experiences and special events. Every semester offers unique and unusual outings.

The new tours for Fall 2017 will start in September of 2017.

The Senior Studies of Long Beach City College offers not only classes, but tours, special events, and a vital student body club. The club promotes a network of friendship and involvement for continuing growth and development of seniors at LBCC.

Other special events include outstanding speakers and many related issues for the older adult.
