Study Abroad
Paris 2019, July 1 - 30
Long Beach City College and the European Studies Association (ESA) invite you to participate in an exceptional educational experience: A Summer Study in Paris during the month of July 2019.
Since the Middle Ages, Paris has drawn students from around the world for university studies, its culture and for the experience of its cosmopolitan lifestyle. Celebrating the 42nd annual program, the ESA has the background and the knowledge to make your month in Paris worthy of one of the world’s great capital cities. In addition to language classes, you will improve your knowledge of French culture through our rich civilization course – visits, lectures and walking tours. We include the Louvre, the Musee d’Orsay and Parisian neighborhoods, as well as an introduction to French history.
On weekends we will also visit Normandy and its historic capital of Rouen, charming Honfleur, Monet’s home, and gardens at Giveny, the town & castle of Fontainebleau, and royal Reims, where French kings were crowned. We won’t neglect daily life in Paris either. Additional activities include Versailles, gourmet dinners, performances, and more.
Dr. Tom Blair, Director of European Studies Association, will personally present on these dates. Further questions can be directed to Prof. Charlotte Jackson.
