Boris Vukov

Boris Vukov earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Anthropology, in 1996 from Texas Christian University (TCU), and a Master of Arts in Psychology, neuropsychology track, in 1998 from San Diego State University (SDSU). From 1998 to 1999, he worked as a Lab Technician at the VA Medical Center in La Jolla, California, where he studied the effects of Tropicamide on pupillary light reflex in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. He managed participant recruitment, screening, IRB consent, administered neuropsychological assessments, and collected and analyzed pupillometry data. From 1999 to 2001, he served as a Research Associate at the same institution, coordinating clinical studies within the Geriatric Intervention Research Center (IRC) and the Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center (MIRECC). His work included neuropsychological and motor assessments, EMG and EEG data collection, IRB compliance, and data analysis. He also contributed to hemispheric processing studies and an fMRI-based visuo-motor projects. Boris began teaching as an adjunct faculty member in 2001 across several San Diego-area colleges and became a full-time Psychology Professor at Long Beach City College (LBCC) in 2004.
