In place of the in-person Commencement Ceremony that was originally scheduled for Thurs., June 4, 2020, a virtual Commencement Ceremony will take place on Fri., June 12, 2020. This difficult decision was made for the safety of our students, their family and friends in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

LBCC will produce an online platform and recorded ceremony for those receiving their Associate Degree of Arts, Associate Degree of Sciences, and Certificates of Achievement. LBCC graduates, friends and family will be able to watch the virtual ceremony from on June 12 at 5:00 pm.

We know how important an in-person commencement is to our students, their families and the LBCC community. Commencement is an important ceremony recognizing hard work achieved by our students. Our students have worked so hard to achieve their academic goals, thanks to the hard work of our faculty and staff.

In addition to the virtual ceremony, the Class of 2020 will be welcomed back to walk in LBCC’s next in-person Commencement Ceremony in 2021.
