Dr. Reagan F. Romali began her tenure as Superintendent-President of the Long Beach Community College District (LBCCD) in May 2017. She is a nationally recognized educational leader who has achieved groundbreaking work in student success, increased graduation rates, increased transfer rates and outcomes for minority students.
The College Planning Committee (CPC) is a participatory governance body that acts as the central coordinating and directive body for the college’s planning efforts. Recommendations from the CPC go to the Board of Trustees for information and/or approval.
The Academic Senate is the primary voice of the faculty in promoting effective participation in the decision-making process of college-wide academic and professional matters.
Elected by faculty-at-large from their respective campuses, senators and alternates serve three-year terms and work to take part in debates, to make motions, to write resolutions in an effort to help steer decision making.
The Classified Senate shall represent the Classified Employees of Long Beach City College with regard to governance and decision-making, and on matters that are not related to collective bargaining and contract negotiations, and contribute to the campus community and student success.
Classified Senates are professional participatory groups representing classified employees in organizational and participatory governance.
