Karen Faulkner

Professor Faulkner teaches in the International Business program. In addition to teaching, she develops enrichment activities for the students, such as internships, tours of the Port of Long Beach, recorded mock interviews with local executives, and job shadowing with international business professionals. She has taken an active role in several educational technology projects and spoken at several conferences, such as TecEd, the League for Innovation, the Chancellor Office and the Society for the Advancement of Management.

Prior to joining the faculty at Long Beach City College, Faulkner taught International Business and Marketing classes at the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, a university in Mexico City. She has eight years of experience in various facets of International Business, including manufacturing, investments and construction equipment exports. Her academic training includes both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of International Management.

When Faulkner is not in the classroom or online, she keeps current in international affairs through research and travel.
