Journalism Reunion

Event

The LBCC Journalism program will host another Journalism Reunion on Friday, May 8, 2020, to continue our historic tradition, reunite, show off our new area, give away plaques from decades gone by, further develop our mentorship program for current students and collect funds for a scholarship.

We will gather in the newly renovated P Building, in the historic P-113 Lounge, P-135 high-tech journalism office, P-134 super-duper computer lab, and a very cool courtyard. The event will start at 5:00 pm and light refreshments will be served. We will present a brief program at 6:30 pm and the event will conclude at 8:00 pm.

Organizers are spreading the word to students from any class since the college opened in 1927, not just City magazine and Viking news. Also, former or current journalistic coworkers, professionals, colleagues and others who might be interested are welcome to attend.

A Facebook page will further promote the event and participants are encouraged to use Twitter and other social media to reconnect with fellow alumni.

For more information please contact former Journalism Program Coordinator, Patrick McKean at pmckean@lbcc.edu.
