Summer Bridge Program

Event

Long Beach Adult Education is sponsoring a summer bridge program aimed at providing academic and college skills support for non-traditional students, ages 18 and up. Through classes, workshops, and activities the program will provide the foundation and skills needed to ease the transition into college; remove the mystery and self-doubt of college and increase self-confidence, awareness, and focus. The program’s goals are to give students a head start towards a successful college experience and the opportunity to begin building community with other students.

The Bridge program will run from July 9, 2017 – August 10, 2017. A maximum of 60 students will be admitted, so space is limited. The Bridge Program is free for students, with the exception of parking. Books, academic supplies, meals, and the assessment test will be provided at no cost. Classes will meet Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.

If you are interested or need more information, please contact Stephanie Lewis in the Adult Education Program or call 562-938-3330.
