Mindfulness for Future Teachers
October 22 at 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm
Register at https://ftcmf.eventbrite.com. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought new stresses and worries to our already complicated schedules. Join the Future Teachers Club as we walk through breathing, grounding and physical techniques to help us stay present and mindful of the situations in front of us. Coming from backgrounds from yoga, ayurvedic, and dance, we will honor these techniques as an act of self-care and communal care. We will also discuss accommodations and application to classroom teaching (virtual and physical).
Teach to Live? Live to Teach!
November 19 at 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm
Register at https://ftcld.eventbrite.com. What is your future looking like now? What will teaching look like in 2 years? 5 years? It’s daunting to think about despite it always being on our minds. In this workshop, we will take a look at tools to help express purposeful goals that are in alignment with your true desires and hopes. Not just a degree or paycheck. We will look at the tenets of a life designed to be sustainable and joyful and see how this can be applied to you now as a future teacher and in the future as an educator.
