Jonathan D. (Jon) Gotz is a lifelong resident of Long Beach who went to Long Beach Schools and participated at PanAmerican Park in their many activities while growing up and in Boy Scout Troop 65 where he obtained the rank of Eagle Scout.

Jon joined his father in his insurance practice in 1982 and has served as President of Gotz Insurance Agency since 1991. Jon and his wife of 33 years, Cindy, have raised two grown daughters.  During this time, Jon got involved in many civic and professional organizations including the Lakewood Rotary Club, American Red Cross, Long Beach Day Nursery, the Long Beach Housing Development Company, founding board of the Long Beach Ronald McDonald House, LBCC Foundation board of Governors and the Long Beach Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He has held leadership positions in many of those organizations. 

Jon has been recognized by a number of organizations including the Long Beach Area Council Boy Scouts of America with their District Award of Merit and their Silver Beaver awards and Rotary International presented him with the Four Avenues of Service Citation.

While his experiences on these different boards varied, they prepared him for continued service to the community.
