Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant Program at LBCC is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in administrative roles, including office support, customer support, virtual support, and human resources support. This program offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers essential topics in office management, customer service, communication, project management, computer and office technologies.

Employee Coalition Affinity Group

LBCC is committed to creating an environment in which all individuals are supported, in alignment with our values as a purposeful, nurturing, respectful, focused, and connected college. The Employee Coalition Group is part of that effort to help foster a diverse and inclusive work environment and provide social and professional support for members. The Employee Coalition is comprised of representatives from the LBCC Employee Affinity groups. The meetings are employee-led and voluntary.

Music Auditions

Each audition is approximately 10 minutes long and evaluated in the areas of Performance and Theory/Musicianship/Keyboard Proficiency.

Admission to private lessons is dependent on the audition; those lacking sufficient experience, technique, reading ability, or repertoire will be advised to enroll in a performance class or ensemble if they wish to audition again for the subsequent semester.

Graphics & Digital Media

From logos and layouts to game sprites and immersive environments, the Graphics and Digital Media programs at Long Beach City College provide students with valuable design and development skills to for the creative jobs of the future. In addition to preparing students for extended programs of study, we offer two certificate programs in both Graphic Design and Interactive Design and Animation.

The 2022-2026 Strategic Plan was developed by the Strategic Plan Oversight Taskforce and College Planning Council, with broad constituent input. The plan will serve as Long Beach City College’s north star and will guide the implementation of plans and initiatives for the next four years. The plan is intentionally aligned with the Chancellor’s Office Vision for Success and Guided Pathways.
