Notice

Dear Students,

This is your COVID-19 update from Long Beach City College today, April 20, 2020.

CalFresh and LA Food Bank Can Help You With Food Insecurities

Here are two programs that can assist students with food insecurities:

  • CalFresh is a nutrition program that can provide students with extra money for groceries. Starting Tues., April 28, CalFresh dollars will be accepted for groceries through Amazon online and Walmart. Start with registering for CalFresh at https://students.getcalfresh.org/ or contact Cinthia at Conoa@lafoodbank.org or (323) 234-3030, ext. 169.
  • Do you need to find a food pantry for food assistance? Use the LA Food Bank Pantry locator for a food pantry location near you: https://www.lafoodbank.org/find-food/pantry-locator/.

If you have any questions or need additional assistance, please call the LBCC Basic Needs team at (562) 938-3241, and be sure to leave a message with your name and the best phone number to call you back.
