Art History

The Art History program at Long Beach City College surveys the multifaceted world of visual artifacts from the earliest human history to the present in diverse cultures around the globe. Students learn to analyze artworks from a variety of perspectives and to understand how and why they were created as well as the role art plays in expressing or challenging societal values and practices. Art History is under the coordination of Sarah Vure.
