Overview

For Faculty

The Career Center at Long Beach City College welcomes the opportunity to assist faculty members with meeting their teaching needs. Our commitment is to provide LBCC faculty with the necessary support services to assist them in helping students achieve their educational and career goals. Through the use of course-aligned training, labor market data, and connecting faculty with industry professionals, we can help students achieve their goals of career development, employment, and self-sufficiency.

Classroom Presentations. We can tailor a workshop around a specific topic to meet your students’ needs or we can offer a general orientation as to what services the Career & Job Services Center has to offer. Please contact the center to schedule a classroom presentation.

Career Center Orientations. We invite you to bring your classroom to an orientation of the Career Center. Classroom visits may also include workshops designed around a specific topic or access to resources and reference materials for career exploration exercises.

Extra Credit Opportunities. Give your students a meaningful extra credit opportunity by referring them to our center for career counseling and assessment, independent career exploration exercises, or participation in a career center sponsored event.
