LBCC Pride Workshop – Uplifting Black Trans Voices
Wednesday, March 12th, 1:00PM – 2:00PM, LAC – T1300

Event

Join us as Victoria Kirby York, Director of Public Policy and Programs at the National Black Justice Coalition will be hosting a workshop around the attacks towards the transgender community, particularly Black trans women and informing students about what is at stake, how they can be effective allies and advocates, and ways they can be actionable in their advocacy. Food and drinks will be provided.

The LBCC PRIDE workshop series is designed to celebrate and bring awareness to the needs of our LGBTQIA+ community. Rather than holding Pride Month in June, when the campus sees a pronounced dip in foot traffic, the intent is to spread these themed events throughout the year.
