CIM, CORs & Proposal Walkthroughs

Post

CourseLeaf Curriculum Inventory Management (CIM) is LBCC’s system for developing, modifying, reviewing, and inactivating courses and programs. As of Fall 2026 it has replaced the legacy COR Database and all PDF/Word document forms for courses, programs, SLOs, etc. CIM brings curriculum proposals, supporting documentation, review, and approval workflow together in one system, one form.

Find all Course Outlines of Record, program narratives, and proposals here.

Use the resources on this page to guide your proposal from development through submission.

Access CourseLeaf CIM

Access CIM at this link.

Alternatively, faculty and staff access CourseLeaf through the Viking Portal.

  • Log in to the Viking Portal.
  • Select Apps and select the green CourseLeaf tile.
  • From the CourseLeaf Dashboard, select Courses or Programs.

Your permissions determine which actions are available to you, including creating, editing, submitting, reviewing, approving, or rolling back proposals.

Accessing Published Course Outlines

Browse Course Outlines Alphabetically

Use the Courses A–Z page to browse approved courses alphabetically by subject and course.

Search Course Outlines

Use Course Search when you need to locate courses using search criteria, including term and other available filters.

LBCC’s approved Course Outlines of Record (CORs) are available through the public CourseLeaf catalog. Faculty, students, and members of the public do not need to log in to CIM to view approved course information.

Use the public CourseLeaf pages when you need to view approved curriculum or retrieve course SLOs. If you need to create, modify, routinely review, or inactivate a course, access CourseLeaf CIM through the Viking Portal.

Open the Program Proposal Walkthrough

The Program Proposal Walkthrough provides guidance for developing and reviewing degrees and certificates in CIM. Use this guide when you are:

Before You Submit

CIM allows you to save your work and return to the proposal before submission. Faculty are encouraged to collaborate with their Department Head, department faculty, School Dean, and other affected areas while developing the proposal.

Once you select Submit, CIM generates the applicable curriculum workflow and begins the formal review and approval process.

Use the Walkthrough documents to access and learn about workflows associated with proposal types.
